Orly to Paris — Fastest + Budget Options

Orly Isn't CDG — And That's Good News

Smaller, closer to central Paris, and considerably less overwhelming than Charles de Gaulle, Orly rewards travelers with a simpler decision: do you want the fastest option, or the cheapest one? Here's exactly what each gets you.

Orlyval + RER B: The Fast Option

The Orlyval automated shuttle connects Orly directly to the RER B line at Antony station, from which it's a straight ride into central Paris. Total journey time runs around 35 minutes door-to-platform, for a combined fare in the €13–15 range. This is the option to take if your priority is speed and you don't mind paying a bit more for it.

Tram T7 & Orlybus: The Budget Option

Tram T7 connects to the Paris metro network at a lower cost than Orlyval, though the full journey takes noticeably longer — closer to an hour once you factor in the metro connection. Orlybus runs a more direct route to Denfert-Rochereau, typically 30–45 minutes depending on traffic, and costs less than the Orlyval combo. If you're not in a rush and want to save the difference, this is the better call.

Taxi: Orly's Fixed Rates

Orly also operates flat-rate taxi pricing to central Paris, split by Right Bank and Left Bank — and because Orly sits closer to the city than CDG, the flat rate runs noticeably lower. Use the official rank only, same rule as CDG.

Ride-Share Pickup

Orly's smaller footprint makes ride-share pickup considerably less of a maze than at CDG — designated pickup points are closer to the terminal exits and easier to find without much wandering.

Which Option Fits You

In a hurry, don't mind the cost: Orlyval + RER B
Have time, want to save money: Orlybus or Tram T7
Traveling with a group or heavy luggage: Taxi
